Things to Know

To help ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay at Lakeside House, please read the following information before booking.

General

  • Lakeside House is a private holiday home and is not suitable for parties or events.

  • No smoking is permitted inside the house.

  • Guests are asked to respect the property, the surrounding area and neighbouring homes.


Pets

  • Unfortunately, pets are not permitted at the property.


Access & Location

  • The N59 road is very busy. For safety reasons, guests are advised to access the property via the laneway, as outlined in the arrival instructions.

  • While the house enjoys stunning lakeside views, there is no access to the lake, as it is privately owned. Guests are welcome to enjoy the scenery from the house and grounds.


Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in: from 4:00 pm

  • Check-out: by 10:00 am

(Alternative times may be possible by prior arrangement, subject to availability.)


Booking & Payment

  • A deposit is required to secure your booking.

  • A booking contract will be issued after confirmation and must be signed prior to arrival.

  • The balance of the rental fee is due before the start of your stay (full details will be provided at booking).


Security Deposit

  • A security deposit may be required and will be returned after departure, provided the house is left in good condition and no damage has occurred.


Cancellations

  • Cancellations made up to 4 weeks prior to the booking date will receive a refund of the deposit.

  • Cancellations within 4 weeks of arrival are non-refundable, unless the property is re-let.


Children & Safety

  • Children are very welcome at Lakeside House.

  • Due to the rural setting and proximity to a busy road and open water nearby, children must be supervised at all times.

  • The property may not be suitable for unsupervised toddlers or young children.


Departure

  • Guests are asked to leave the house in a tidy condition on departure.

  • Guests are asked to turn off the heat, lock the doors and leave key in the key box.
  • Any breakages or issues should be reported as soon as possible.


Right to Refuse

  • The owners reserve the right to refuse entry or terminate a stay if house rules are not respected.
